Vermont Association of Home Educators (VAHE) - The Vermont Association of Home Educators, Inc. is a non-profit organization seeking to promote and encourage home education in Vermont by providing information and moral support to all Vermont homeschooling families. The VAHE site has a number of resources, hopefully to be updated soon, including a message board.

Vermont Open Learning Index (VOLI) - The Vermont Open Learning Index (VOLI) is a resource for independent learners of all ages in Vermont. VOLI provides an index of classes, teach-ins, and workshops that are available outside of traditional schools. Workshops range over all ages and interests, including many for children and teens.

Homeschool Vermont - This site is a resource for homeschoolers in Franklin County, including events and resource links. You can also sign up here for an email newsletter.

Clonlara School - The Clonlara School is an innovative, accredited private school with extensive, long-standing, flexible "home based" programs. There are a number of options for how to enroll as a homeschooler, all of which give you a contact teacher for curriculum and administrative support while leaving you quite a bit of freedom. They also have several high school diploma options including internet-based high school classes and a "Walkabout" program.

Paths of Learning: Effective Strategies for Teachers and Parents Seeking Meaning in Education - This is a resource for educators, parents, scholars and policymakers seeking democratic, holistic and student-centered forms of education. The site has terrific links and an online library and clearinghouse.

The Education Revolution - This is the website of AERO (The Alternative Education Resource Organization), a non-profit organization founded in 1989 to advance learner-centered approaches to education. AERO serves as a hub of communications and support for educational alternatives around the world. The site includes resources for home education, among other alternative approaches.
